The company begins manufacturing and selling general electric wires.

Saburo Ninomiya establishes Ninomiya Electric Wire, Co., Ltd.
The company begins manufacturing and selling power cords for home appliances and cords for military use.

1966

December

The company begins manufacturing and selling specialty wires.

In addition to general-purpose electric wires, the company starts manufacturing and selling specialty wires that require advanced technology. By responding to the various requests of its customers as well as by manufacturing products made of a wide variety of materials, the company hones its technological capabilities and lays the foundation which has helped the company sustain its business to this day.

UL certification obtained

The company obtains certification under the UL standard for fluororesin-insulated wires. Also, in 2003 the company obtains the UL standards certification for compensating lead wires and coated thermocouple wires for the first time in Japan. Additionally, in 2010 it obtains the UL standards certificate for super heat-resistant wires for the first time in the industry, thus making it easier for its customer manufacturers, who has introduced Ninomiya’s products, to launch their equipment into overseas markets. This heightens the company’s presence in the industry.

Sharing the “Management Plan”

The company distributes the “Management Plan” to all employees, sharing the company philosophy, management policy and intermediate to long-term goals. By clearly showing the path of business growth to the employees, a sense of unity is developed among employees, and the driving force for business growth is further enhanced.

The five‐day-a-week work system (closing on Saturdays and Sundays) is introduced.

Obtains UL standards certifications for compensating lead wires and coated thermocouple wires for the first time in Japan

Opens the Osaka Sales Office (Sagisu, Fukushima-ku, Osaka)

The company begins manufacturing and selling the “sheet-type thermocouples” for the measurement of surface temperature

2010

January

Ninomiya is the first company to develop super heat-resistant wires.

The company begins manufacturing and selling super heat-resistant wire “MS series,” boasting high performance with resistance to temperatures up to 500°C and rated power of 600 V. It attracts attention in the industry as an epoch-making product with a level of heat resistance incomparable to that of conventional electric wires. In December of the same year, Ninomiya acquires the UL standard certification for the super heat-resistant wire for the first time in the industry, thus allowing the company’s advanced technological capabilities to be recognized in the domestic and overseas markets.

December

Ninomiya constructs the head office/factory integrated system.

On the fiftieth anniversary of its founding, the company relocates to Sagamihara and builds a system that can respond to customer needs by integrating the head office, manufacturing and sales functions. The company launches a system to strengthen its customer-first management policy.

Ninomiya is certified for Stage 1 of the EcoStage environmental management program

The company participates in the THERMOTECH 2013 exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight.

The company participates in the Measurement and Control Show 2016 OSAKA exhibition at the Gran-cube Osaka.

The company participates in the THERMOTECH 2017 exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight.

The company launches sales of the thermocouple-dedicated connectors (K type) manufactured by TE Connectivity.

The company launches sales of the KX-Super F fluororubber compensating lead wire for bend resistance.
